Gabrieli’s music is always tremendously satisfying to hear and to play. Because his Canzon IV a 6 is for 6 voices, it’s not often played by brass ensembles, but it’s just as fantastic as his more popular works. This arrangement is for 3 Bb trumpets, horn (or trumpet 4 to sub for horn), trombone, and tuba. There is ample rest for the higher voices, and the range demands are light.
