Description

This gorgeous chanson was composed ca. 1500 by Josquin des Prez.  This arrangement highlights the beautiful vocal quality of the brass quintet while giving everyone plenty of rest throughout.  Ranges for all instruments are very modest and allow everyone to coast in the sweet spot while letting this piece fully glow.  This arrangement is scored for 2 flugelhorns (though trumpets are fine to use instead), horn in F, trombone, and tuba.

*Note-wise, this is easy enough for early intermediate musicians, though when played by skilled musicians with excellent intonation, balance, and sound production, it’s absolutely gorgeous.
